Nine of our WGC girls were selected to represent Wellington as part of the 19 strong Wellington Senior Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Team at the Gymnastics Nationals in Auckland. Captained by Year 13 Lucy Buick-Constable, they produced some stunning performances, all qualifying for top 8 only individual finals. They came away with 12 medals between them, led by Sarah Jennings (pictured) All-Around Gold Medal in step 10, making her National Champion in the top step level in the country:

Emmilyn Stevens: Step 10 DNS due to injury
Lucy Buick-Constable: Step 9 Silver on Floor, 5th on Beam
Olive Young: Step 9 Bronze on Vault, 4th on Bars, 8th on Beam, 8th All-around
Rachel Baker: Step 8 Bronze All-around, Silver on Floor, 4th on Bars, 7th on Vault
Adelyn Lunman: Step 8 Gold on Floor, 1st Team, 6th on Beam, 6th All-around
Jessie-Lee Joe: Step 8 BRONZE on Bars, 1st Team, 4th All-around, 8th on Beam, 8th on Floor
Giselle Kenworthy: Step 8 7th on Floor, 11th All-around,
Sophie Jones: Step 7 GOLD on Floor, 19th All-around,
WGC was also represented by 9 rhythmic gymnasts in the Wellington Women’s Rhythmic Gymnastics Team.
