Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) domestic entry requirements for 2021

The Faculty of Engineering understands that Covid-19 has had a significant impact on New Zealand secondary school students. To support the future success of senior school students, the entry requirements for the BE(Hon) will be changing for 2021.

Please see the AskAuckland information page for further details of the entry requirements for a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) through NCEA, Cambridge International or IB.

Women in Engineering

Women in Engineering offer a number of services to inform and encourage high school girls to consider engineering. They provide information for secondary school students about studying with the Faculty of Engineering, as well as the career opportunities that exist. This includes visits to schools and community groups, hosting groups on campus, and having individual conversations with women-identified students who are considering a future in engineering.

Our Women in Engineering (WEN) Outreach team consists of current engineering students who are available for school visits. They can reach out to your students via various options — from a hands-on engineering activity suitable for a classroom, to shorter presentations suitable for a careers evening, university information evening or a school assembly. Their aim is to introduce students to the huge variety of career opportunities in Engineering, and to showcase female engineers and engineering students.
