The WGC cross country team had it’s first hit out last week at the Karori Relays where teams of four ran 2kms each relay style.
The highlight of the day was the Year 9 team made up of Lucy Jurke, Molly O’Sullivan, Helena Errington and Amy McHardy, breaking the record for Year 9 Girls by 22 seconds.
The team ran a combined time of 32m 9 secs which was well over 2 mins faster than second placed Wellington East.
Our senior team of Emma Douglass, Olivia Pugh, Carly Smith and Jessica Hughes came in second, only 11 secs behind the senior East team. Well done to all the teams.
