Innovative Young Minds is a one week online program, or six-day residential (camp) program designed to give young women in Years 11 and 12 the opportunity to learn about the wide range of career and research opportunities available in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and High-Tech Manufacturing. IYM seeks to encourage diversity in New Zealand’s science and technology industry and inspire a new generation of innovators and industry leaders.
Young women who will be in Year11 or Year 12 in 2021 are eligible to apply for IYM Online, or IYM Residential depending on your preference. IYM Online will take place in the first week of the April holidays in 2021 over five half-days. Places are limited to 100, and there is a $30 fee. IYM Residential is a six-day program at Silverstream Retreat in Lower Hutt during the July school holidays. This program is limited to 40 people, and costs $170.
