This week is Languages Week – a chance to celebrate all the languages that are taught at WGC, along with all the languages spoken by our students, parents and teachers.
All students, teachers and support staff are welcome along to one or all of the following events this week:
Monday: Painting with Sophia – painting inspired by German masters (B33 at lunchtime)
Tuesday: Chinese knotting with Lili (B34 at lunchtime)
Wednesday: French crêpes (Roller door at lunchtime)
Thursday: French Rock (and Roll) dancing with Sylouan (B36 at lunchtime)
Friday: Languages Adventure Race (starting in B36 at lunchtime)
Anyone is welcome to any of these events, but for the Adventure Race, it would be good to sign up in advance. The first 40 people to sign up will be able to take part. You don’t have to speak any particular language to participate (thanks to the power of the Internet!), but you do need to be able to think and run fast, and to be willing to have a go at a whole range of activities (some of which will be mildly embarrassing!) There are some very attractive prizes for the two winning teams.
Here is the Google form for the Adventure Race. You can fill it in for yourself as an individual, or for a whole team (of 3 or 4 people). If you fill it in as an individual, you will be put in a team on the day.\
