- Music Practice Rooms: Access will now be only via the office entry door. The canteen entrance will be kept locked but still be able to be used as an exit from the inside.
- Level 3 Brook – B316 and B317 will be open from Monday 21 March – thank you all for your patience.
- Brook 1 ½ Toilets – now staff only – work on converting these to unisex staff toilets will start on 11 April and should be completed after the first week back from holidays.
- Brook Basement Toilets – these are in use, looking great.
- Contractors Parking – Ceres and Hawkins are now parking in the area where the hall used to be. Work on Site:
Work on Site (Hawkins):
- Atrium – more work on placing hoardings in Pipitea levels 1 and 2 to reduce dust and noise. Hoardings are going up in the Atrium to give the contractors secure restricted access to the site. They will be working on the new wall as well as preparing the Atrium classrooms for the ramps.
- New stairs – more work on preparing the area for the new steel. Hoardings to go up on all levels to reduce dust and noise.
- Lift – the date of 6 April has been given for the lift to be in use.
- Crane on site – The school has been notified that there will be a crane coming onto the Hawkins site (by the new stairs hoardings.). The crane has been brought in to help lift the steel to the top levels for the new stairs and to take out the top ceiling. This is all part of the planned work. For the days that crane is on site please expect the access from Murphy Street into Pipitea Street to be closed. The road coming up Motorua Street from Thorndon Quay will be open and the Music carpark and entrance available for use.
- Crane dates: 21 – 25 March 5 days, 11- 14 April 4 days , School holidays on various days, 9 -13 May 5 days, 16-20 May 5 days, 23-27 May 5 days, 30 May to 1 June 3 days. I will adjust these dates if necessary.
