Congratulations to the following WGC players who have been named to attend the internal under 18 girls rugby programme for 2019:
- Mina Butler
- Maddi King
- Sera Tufuga
- Logan Hewitt
The purpose of the programme is to:
- To follow on from the progress made at the recent Rugby Development Week.
- give the players a chance to have some more competitive game time (especially contested scrums and lineouts) and specialist coaching.
- More time for Coaches and Selectors to finalise a Regional U18 Girls Representative Team that will participate in the annual Hurricanes U18 tournament.
- Further opportunity for players to prove they have the right attitude, work ethic and ability for the Regional U18 team and/or future development.
