Student Representative Election – WGC Board 2021-2022

Nominations are invited for the election of one student representative to the Board – forms are available from the Student Office.  This is a one year term beginning for the new trustee on Friday 1 October 2021.

Please note that any full-time student is entitled to stand for election and vote.  Eligible students may nominate themselves and do not require a seconder but must sign both parts of the form.

Nominations close at noon on Monday 23 August and should be accompanied by a candidate’s statement.  This statement should consist of approximately 100 words.  Statements must be received by the Returning Officer no later than this date (noon on Monday 23 August) – statements received after this time will not be included.

For more information talk to this year’s Student Representative, Katelyn Sceats, or see Mrs Davidson. They will be happy to talk with students considering this role.  You can still stand for other leadership positions e.g. Head Girl, House Leader etc.

Voting papers issued at Wānanga time – Yr 9-10: Thursday 26 August, Yr 11-13: Monday 6 September
Polls close – noon Friday 24 Sept
Votes counted/results declared – by Thursday 30 September
Student trustee takes office – Friday 1 October
