WGC’s Senior A and Junior A Underwater Hockey teams had a great Centrals tournament on Friday and Saturday at WRAC, both placing 2nd in their respective divisions. This means the teams have qualified for UWH Nationals at the end of August in Mt Maunganui.
Our Senior coach Harriet Whitmore got the coach’s Fairplay Award. The following players were selected in the Central Zone U18 rep team trialling squad: Jessie Mckee, Georgina Huttley, Maddie Diack, Emma Gardiner, Hayleigh Bond, Moana Leduc, Alice Egerton, Zara Benson-Phipps and Keira Seath.
