School-leaver scholarships are now open
Applications for the Te Herenga Waka─Victoria University of Wellington school-leaver scholarships are now open. There are three scholarships available:
Tangiwai Scholarship, which celebrates excellence, both academic and outside the classroom. Worth $5,000.
Totoweka Scholarship, focused on equity and support, for students who are Māori or Pasifika, come from socio-economically disadvantaged or refugee backgrounds, or have a disability. Worth $5,000.
Kahotea Scholarship for outstanding achievement, worth $30,000 over three years.
International students studying at New Zealand high schools can apply for the Wellington International Excellence Scholarship. The New Zealand International School-Leaver Grant is also available.
Applications close at 4.30 pm, Wednesday 1 September. Full details of the scholarship regulations are available on our website.
