WGC Parents as Career Educators

On  17 August,  71 parents/caregivers have volunteered their time to come and speak to senior students about their career. This is great timing for subject selection period and thinking about next year for Year 13.

When: 17th August, Wānanga time
Where: allocated Wānanga classes

On Monday at wānanga time a link will be sent to your school email address to sign up to one presentation from the list below. There are over 900 students to make a selection. There is mostly a limit of 30 people on each career theme so the sooner you sign up the more likely you will get your first selection. However, it is always interesting to listen to something you may not know anything about.  There is not very much time for the career specialists to speak so they will be promptly delivered to a wānanga room by a student just before wānanga time starts for their 20 min talk.  To search careers if you do not know the career option:  https://www.careers.govt.nz/jobs-database/
