Year 9 Science Nobel Prize Extension Programme

Calling all passionate and enthusiastic Yr 9 Science Students!

The Year 9 Science Nobel Prize Extension Programme is starting to get up and running. There is a introductory meeting to find out what it is all about will be held on Friday 15th of February at lunchtime in T32. If you cannot attend it is important that you contact Ms O’Boyle to let her know.

What it is?

  • A programme designed to extend science students by encouraging bold, creative and critical thinkers

Who can be part of it?

  • Students in Year 9 who have been approached by their Science Teacher as someone who would benefit from extension in Science or you yourself have made the personal decision for wanting to be extended in Science, and therefore, be part of the programme.

What does it involve?

  • There are a series of  interesting tasks to broaden your knowledge and develop your capabilities in Science

Why should I do it?

  • The opportunity to push and extend your scientific thinking, learn new skills, apply yourself in different ways, explore new content and work with new people

Please note: Students should only opt in to the programme if it is their personal choice as it requires 100% commitment, a lot of hard work, self-management and motivation.
