Youth Collective start-up project at Zealandia T3 hols (Mon 28 Sep – Thu 1 Oct).

The Youth Collective start-up project is a free four day project for young people aged 15-18, which will take place in the first week of the term 3 holidays (Mon 28 Sep – Thu 1 Oct, 11.00-16.30 daily).
We’re recruiting a team of 12 young people to work with us and help us shape the future of the new Youth Collective. This will involve behind-the-scenes experiences of ZEALANDIA, the opportunity to develop design skills as they create a group identity for t-shirts, and the chance to meet new people and work in a team to choose the direction of future conservation-inspired projects.
The project will take place here at ZEALANDIA, it’s completely free with food and transport costs covered, including help with organising their transport options. More information about the project, as well as a link to the short application form, can be found here on our website: https://www.visitzealandia.com/Education/Youth-Collective.
The deadline for young people to submit an application is Monday 14 September.

There are only 12 spots available. Applications are open to anyone but the students this program is trying to attract are young people underrepresented in Conservation, such as Māori or Pasifika youth and those from lower-income households.
No previous experience of conservation projects or nature knowledge is required to be eligible, they are primarily looking for young people with a good motivated attitude who are interested in learning new skills, trying new things and working with new people.
