2025 term dates

The office re-opens on 21 January and that is when all senior staff and Deans will be available.

Term One: staggered start from 27 January depending on year level and activity  (details in start of year letters) – 11 April

Term Two: 28 April – 27 June

Term Three: 14 July – 19 September

Term Four: 6 October – 5 December

Please remember if your child is going to have a planned absence outside these dates you need to email the school to explain the reason – absences@wgc.school.nz or julia.davidson@wgc.school.nz 

Because Easter is in the April holidays we finish earlier next year. There is also no mid term break in Term 3.

Students will have a day off on 21 March and 30 May so that staff can be involved with Professional development with other schools. We understand there may also be some MOE curriculum planning teacher only days next year, but have yet to be told any dates for these. 

And for those of you who want to get dates locked into next year’s calendar, Prizegiving is on Wednesday 29 October; Yr 12 & 13 leave on 24 October;  NCEA exams run from 4 -28 November; Yr 11 finish on 14 November and the Yr 13 Leavers’ function is on Tuesday 2 December.
