APC Family Night

From the Wellington Girls’ Asian Performance Club (APC), you are warmly invited to attend our Family Night on Wednesday the 18th of June.
The WGC APC was formed in 2022 after the school’s first celebration of the Asian Pacific Islander Heritage month in May. We are a performing group, but first and foremost we are a group of friends and a community who aim to celebrate the wide array of Asian cultures at Wellington Girls’. We believe having a space to connect with your own and other cultures is the first step towards cultural unity.
Parents/caregivers, siblings, grandparents and anyone else, please come along on the 18th of June to Wellington Girls’ Gym 2 at 5:30pm to around 8. We understand that young children and the elderly may need to leave early. If you are a student and your family cannot attend, please still RSVP below, we’d love to see you.
We will start the evening with a welcome, performances, then kai together – please bring a plate of food from your culture!
Afterwards, performances will begin and there are some incredible groups and acts planned for the night! If you would like to perform (students or family!), please sign up using this form: APC Family Night Performance Sign-Up. There will be dances and songs from countries all over the globe, and although the night is organised by the Asian Performance Club, families from any and all cultures are invited to attend! Everybody is encouraged to wear traditional clothing or dress if they wish.
