It’s time for your talented young women to be getting their applications in for our tertiary study award.
The Zonta Club of Wellington (in conjunction with Zonta Mana) is seeking this year’s round of applications for the Young Women in Public Affairs Award. The award is open to female or female-identifying year 13 students who have expressed an interest in some semblance of public affairs and can show evidence of volunteer leadership and service to school and community.
This award recognises applicants who demonstrate:
- an active commitment to volunteerism
- experience in leadership (which can include student or local governments or in the workplace)
- support for empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy (one of Zonta International’s missions).
Please find attached an application form for interested students, and a poster which you can use to advertise the award in school newsletters or on notice boards. There is no limit to the number of applicants that can apply from each school – the more girls we can offer this opportunity to, the better!
Applications are due by 5pm Friday 28 October 2022. Details for submitting the applications are also in the attached documents. Students must submit two references and verification of enrolment.
I understand this comes around end of term-time and preliminary exams, but it doesn’t need to be a lengthy application!
Please ensure that all forms for the application are collated by the student and submitted to us in one email. This ensures we don’t miss any information.
