Enrolments for 2026 will open towards the end of May 2025 (applications placed before this date will not be actioned)

Year 10, 11, 12 & 13

Enrolments close Monday 13 October, 2025
Ballot held Friday 17 October, 2025
Notification of ballot results emailed by Wednesday 22 October, 2025

For planning purposes we request applications from the parents of students who live in our home zone, for entry into Year 9 in 2026 to be in the hands of WGC by 23/7/2025. This is not a deadline. In zone applications can be accepted at any time by the enrolment officer

The College is limited in the number of places it is able to offer students at each level. As a consequence it operates an enrolment scheme. For more information please read this document. The order of priority for students is as follows:

Home Zone Enrolments

All students who live within the home zone  are entitled to enrol at the school. Proof of permanent residence within the home zone is required.

Out of Zone Enrolments

Applications for enrolment will be processed in the following order of priority:

  • Special needs (not applicable as we do not operate an MOE approved programme)
  • Siblings of current students
  • Siblings of former students
  • Daughters of former students
  • Children of BOT employees and Board members
  • All other applicants

If there are more applicants in the second, third, fourth, fifth or sixth priority groups than there are places available, selection within the priority group will be by a ballot conducted in accordance with instructions issued by the Secretary under Schedule 20 of the Education and Training Act 2020. Parents will be informed of the date of any ballot by notice in a daily newspaper circulating in the area served by the school.

Applicants seeking second, third or fourth priority status may be required to give proof of a sibling relationship.
