Student Board Elections – Your voice. Your school
Nominations are now OPEN!
Step Up! Nominate Yourself for the School Board
Nominations are invited for the election of one student representative to the Board of Trustees – forms are attached to this article, available from the Student Office or use this link. This is a one-year term beginning for the new trustee on Thursday 18 September 2025.
This is a unique opportunity to represent the student body and help shape the future of our kura. Serving on the board isn’t just about attending meetings; it’s about being the voice of your peers. You’ll work alongside the principal, teachers, and parents to discuss important issues, from academics and extracurriculars to school policies and events.
It’s a fantastic way to develop leadership skills, gain valuable experience, and leave a lasting positive impact.
Who can run? Any full-time student is entitled to stand for election and vote. Eligible students may nominate themselves and do not require a seconder but must sign both parts of the form.
Nominations will close at noon on Monday, 25 August and should be accompanied by a candidate’s statement. Candidate statements received after 25 August will not be included.
Please not that candidate statements can not be more than 400 words. Please read the Election notice for more information.
For more information talk to Hannah Brockett, this year’s student with board responsibilities or see Mrs Davidson. They will be happy to talk with students considering this role.
Don’t miss this chance to be a leader and a changemaker. We can’t wait to see your nominations!
