Ella Haszard (Y12 student of Chinese) won the AFS Global Prep Scholarship and went to China (Beijing and Anshan) last month for 3 weeks. She enjoyed her time there while attending the local Chinese school classes and her sightseeing visits in Beijing.

Communication between us wasn’t the easiest (the language barrier was quite apparent), but we became the best of friends and held hands everywhere we went.”
