Congratulations to our Wellington Girls’ swimmers  who attended the Wellington Short Course Champs last weekend – Georgina Bell, Julia Borlase, Lucy Borlase, Sophie Buchanan, Ava Goodall-Riley, Isabel Hogg, Charlotte Horner, Georgina Huttley, Amy Lin, Amy McHardy, Kate McHardy, Elaina Neal, Sophie Sloan and Izzy Valentine. Great results from the weekend with superb skills on display.  Well done.

Wellington Girls’ swimmers results included 102 top 10 finishes, with 23 medals and 3 golds.  Here are the results:

Two swimmers achieved swim times achieving over 600 FINA points.  This included four swims in this category from Julia Borlase and 607 point swim for Sophie Buchanan in her 400 free.  Congratulations to Amy and Kate McHardy for picking up their first National qualifying times at Champs over the weekend. Also a note to the girls that represented Wellington Girls’ College at College Sport Wellington Individual Champs in July, North Island Secondary Schools Swimming Champs in Palmerston North in May, and good luck to Sophie Sloan who is representing Wellington Girls at New Zealand Secondary Schools Champs in Hamilton on the 12 &15 September.
