Music will show you what to do with your life.
It is necessary to know facts, but music will enable you to see past facts to the very essence of things – Ralph Vaughan Williams

The Wellington Girls’ College Music Department is a lively and busy part of the school. Students are encouraged to get involved, to explore new horizons, and to have fun working together. There are music option classes at every level, and a wide variety of opportunities within our co-curricular programme.
All students taking music as a subject are expected to be part of one or more of the school’s performing groups, but there are also many other students in these groups, and in positions of leadership. Senior students take leadership roles as Music Leaders within each of our performing groups.
Any enquiries regarding music should be addressed to the HOD Music: penelope.isaac@wgc.school.nz
