Tēnā koutou katoa,
This Exposure Day programme has been designed to give Years 9, 10 &11 students’ exposure to the Nurse and Midwifery health environment. The objective of the programme is not about work shadowing or work experience but has been developed to come before such programmes like Work Observation Week or Work Observation Day which is targeted to senior students.
Nurse and Midwifery Exposure Day gives students a valuable chance to ask questions of nurses and midwives and see jobs in action, short sharp workshops to give every student a brief insight into a day in the life of a health professional and to start formulating ideas about their own career options.
All school groups will have an experienced person currently working in the health environment to accompany them for any questions throughout the day.
There is no cost for students to attend.
Lunch will be provided.
Criteria:
- Years 9, 10 &11 Māori students
- Whānau welcome to attend.
