Canterbury University Science Summer Camp for Yr 12 Students

The UC Science Summer Camp is a 5-day event for Year 12 students interested in studying science at university. The camp will run from 2 to 6 December 2019 and will be based at UC’s Ilam Campus in Christchurch. Students will stay on campus in university accommodation.

During the week they’ll attend lectures, work in the labs, visit one of UC’s field stations, meet with staff and current students, and find out about the amazing research happening at UC.

Who can apply?

New Zealand based secondary school students in Year 12 going into Year 13 in 2020. There are 60 places available, and students can apply from anywhere in New Zealand.

Applications close: Saturday 10 August

Camp dates: Monday 2 December to Friday 6 December 2019

Camp fees:

The cost of the camp is $575 and includes accommodation, food and travel during the week (excludes travel to and from the camp)

Scholarships: 5 Diversity Scholarships and 3 Pasifika Scholarships are available
