Over the last 10 days Year 9 classes have been venturing out and tackling the Escarpment Walk – 10ks from Paekakariki to Pukerua Bay, 220mtrs at the highest point taking 3-4hrs and more than 400 steps. Some unfortunate weather on several days, reduced the walk instead to the Ata Araharakeke trail which runs from Pukerua Bay to Plimmerton alongside Taupo swamp.
The Escarpment Walk is challenging but most students handled it very well.
