What is Hands on at Otago?
It’s a week-long experience of Otago student life, open to all students who are in Years 12 and 13 in 2023.
Students stay in one of two student colleges on campus and chose their favourite subject to study for the week from a range of 33 topics – from humanities, business, health sciences and sciences – allowing them to get hands-on in a university department.
Hands-On at Otago 2023 will run from Sunday 15 January to Friday 20 January. Last year we had more applications than places on offer, so it is important that students prepare their applications with care.
The number of participants is limited to 400. The supporting material supplied by students is read by members of the Hands-On at Otago committee and is often the deciding factor in their acceptance.
