The University of Auckland Open Day is tomorrow, please find below an important notice regarding the current measles outbreak in Auckland. We are continuing with Open Day as planned, and we look forward to welcoming your students onto our city campus.
Important notice for Open Day:
There is currently a measles outbreak in Auckland, and people who are not vaccinated are especially at risk. Measles is a highly infectious viral illness that can be very serious.
Students planning to visit the University, particularly those from out of town, should be aware of this. More information can be found on the Auckland Regional Public Health Service website.
Students (particularly those from within the Auckland region) who think they could have measles or any who aren’t vaccinated are advised to stay at home. Anyone with symptoms should contact a health professional, or call Healthline on 0800 611 116.
