For your reference, the following is a letter which has gone out today to students who have submitted an accommodation application (to date).
Dear Otago accommodation applicant
This is just a quick update to reassure you that we are well underway with processing applications for 2021 accommodation at Otago, and we will be making all offers at the start of October.
Just remember that if you haven’t finalised an accommodation application yet, you have until the 30th of September to get it done. Remember too that Otago’s accommodation decisions are not made on a first-in first-served basis; all applications completed by 30 September are considered at the same time. Once you receive an accommodation offer from Otago, you will have until 21 October to accept your place. This will ensure that you have ample time to consider both your Otago offer, and any others you may be considering from other universities.
Those of you who have also applied for scholarships can also be assured that scholarship panels are meeting this week, and we are delighted to be seeing so many applications from great students across the country. As usual, Otago entrance scholarship offers will be made just after accommodation offers.
