Student Representative Election – WGC Board 2022-2023

Nominations are invited for the election of one student representative to the board. This is a one year term beginning for the new trustee on Wednesday, 28 September 2022.

Forms are available from the Student Office. If you away at Winter Tournament and would like a form sent to you, please email ann.gilbert@wgc.school.nz.

Please note that any full-time student is entitled to stand for election and vote. Eligible students may nominate themselves and do not require a seconder but must sign both parts of the form.

Nominations close at noon on Monday 5 September and should be accompanied by a candidate’s statement. This statement should consist of approximately 100 words. Statements must be received by the Returning Officer no later than this date (noon on Monday 5 September) so that it can be sent to voters with the voting paper – statements received after this time will not be included.  The Returning Officer may remove or edit any part of the candidate’s statement if it exceeds 100 words or is offensive or defamatory.

For more information talk to this year’s Student Representative, Katelyn Sceats, or see Mrs Davidson. They will be happy to talk with students considering this role.
