SUMMER SPORT

Dragonboating

If you would like to trial for the Dragonboating team, which will compete in March 2020, please complete the registration form on the WGC sports website. The team will be selected in Term 4. Summer fitness training will be expected and if the team reaches a certain fitness level, it will compete at the Dragonboating Nationals in Karapiro, Cambridge, on 27th & 28th March, as well as the annual Wellington competitions.

There will be a meeting for anyone interested, in the Mezz on Thursday 29th August at lunchtime.

Handball

If you are a Junior and would like to play Handball in Term 4 please register on the WGC sports website by Friday 6th Sept.

GIVE IT A GO Session – Friday 6th Sept at Lunchtime Gym 1.

JUNIOR TRIAL – Monday 9th Sept 3.30pm – 5.30pm Gym 1

 

Volleyball

The Senior A,  B, C teams only, will remain as in Term 1. All junior teams will be re trailed for Term 4. If you wish to play please register on the WGC sports website.

TRIALS – Juniors

Term 1 teams (WGC 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 and anyone new)  to trial:

Tues 10th Sept 3.30pm – 5.30pm AND

Mon 16th Sept at Lunchtime

Term 1 teams (WGC 1, 2 & 3) – to trial:

Wed 11th Sept 3.30pm – 5.30pm AND

Friday 13th Sept at Lunchtime (if needed) 

 

Futsal 

If you wish to play Futsal for WGC in Term 4 you must register your intention to do so. The WGC sports website contains full details and costs for the sports. You must submit your online form and payment together with the registration form.

All teams in Term 4 will be social teams ie no trials, and girls will  need to make up their own team.  Team captains must submit one team-form per team.

SENIORS – please remember that exams will be coming up in Term 4, so think hard before signing up to play.

 

Floorball

The Senior Premier team that played in the Nationals, and the Junior premier team from Term 1 can continue to play together for Term 4 (depending on numbers interested).
All members must still register and pay the fee. If you would like to be put into a team, please register on this form. If you already have a team sorted, can the captain please register the team via social team link. All team members must also register and pay before the team will be accepted.

 

Waterpolo – Juniors Only Term 4

Trainings are on Sundays 9am – 11am  at Kilbirnie Pool (WRAC) starting Sunday 15th Sept. There will be one morning swim training at Thorndon Pool. Competition day is Thursday commencing 17th October, through to 21st November. WGC team togs can be purchased from the Sports Office and WGC caps are supplied.

The cost is $150. If any juniors played in the senior team, they will need to pay the registration cost again as they are 2 separate competitions.
