WGC Science Fair

Do you like scientific thinking and problem-solving? Being able to work on a project of your own choice?

Then you could be interested in doing the WGC Science Fair this year!

The 2020 WGC Science Fair will be run from the end of Term 1 through to the end of Term 2 where you can work individually or in groups (of up to 4) on an investigation or invention of your choice. Projects will be handed in the last week of Term 2 and will be put on display in the school atrium during the first two weeks of Term 3. The top entries will have the opportunity to be entered into the 2020 NIWA Wellington Regional Science and Technology Fair.

A sign up meeting is being held for the WGC Science Fair in T45 at Lunchtime on Thursday 12th March. Please attend to get all the relevant information. If you can’t attend please contact Miss Veale (christina.veale@wgc.school.nz) to organise another time to meet and get information.

Please note: Any one from any year level can be part of the WGC Science Fair (whether you are part of the Nobel Prize Programme or not). Students who are part of the Nobel Prize Programme in Years 9 and 10 will receive points to go towards their Nobel Prize Progression upon completion of the WGC Science Fair.
