The WGC cross country team was out in force recently at Harcourt Park in Upper Hutt, competing in the College Sport Wellington Secondary School’s Cross Country Champs. We had nearly 30 girls competing but it was the Year 9 runners that came home with the medals. Lucy Jurke, Amy McHardy and Molly O’Sullivan won the 3-person team event coming in 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. These 3 girls plus Lila Cory (11th), Sabine Kenworthy (12th) and Helena Errington (13th) together won the 6-person event for the Year 9s. Congratulations!
The best result for the Under 16s was Katelyn Sceats and Emma Douglass came 4th in the Senior division.
